In Finder’s Keepers by Catherine Palmer, Elizabeth Hayes is a single mom of Nikolai, a boy she adopted from Romania when he was just a few years old who has a special friendship with her neighbor, Grace Chalmers. When Grace dies, her house is left to her nephew Zachary who comes in and schedules an auction of all the contents and intends to knock her hundred year old house down to build his office. Elizabeth, meanwhile, wants the house to expand her antiques shop. Zachary and Elizabeth are attracted to each other, but are on opposite sides of the fence with the house.

There is also a small town full of interesting characters, from Boompah (the grocery store owner) to Phil (the owner of the barbershop) who has plans to get the spot the house is on by any means possible.

Zachary learns to trust God but will they both learn to surrender to God’s will?
