Flashover
December 31st, 2008 . by LisaFlashover by Dana Mentink. As always, Dana writes a book that is entertaining, interesting and has a few twists in it that have you reluctant to put it down until you are through reading. In Flashover we meet Ivy, who is a firefighter driven by a tragedy in her past to save others. It is her devotion to her job that lands her in the hospital and on medical leave for several weeks, and her devotion to her friends that lands her in hot water while trying to investigate the fire that put her in the hospital. She learns a friend of hers is in danger, a savant named Moe, and enlists the help of another friend Tim, who is in love with her, to help investigate what is going on. . Ivy must also examine her feelings about God and His place in her life and accept her past before she can move forward to her future. When you factor in the mob connection, gambling and betrayal by a family member you have a great book.
