Snow Angel
January 2nd, 2009 . by LisaSnow Angel by Jamie Carie. Snow Angel is a book about a young woman who is stranded in a snow storm in Alaska while on her way to mine for gold during the 1890s gold rush. She stumbles on the doorstep of Noah Wesley who nurses her back to health and agrees to help her in her search for gold, although he can’t understand her need to find it. We find out that she is an orphan who was adopted by parents who had “Gold Fever” and whose past is trying to find her. Add an unscrupulous private investigator, greedy adoptive parents and even an appearance by Jack London and you have a book that is a worthwhile read. Jamie Carie also gives lots of history and good insight into the gold rush and the hardships people suffered to pursue their dream of striking it rich.
